How It Works
AI Isn't Finding You. Here Is Why.
The way people find local businesses is changing. Understanding why, and what it takes to fix it, is where everything starts.
Why It Matters
AI Picks One Or Two.
Instead of typing keywords into Google, more people are asking questions directly to conversational AI. When they do, they get one or two names, and most people call the first one. If your business isn't in that answer, they don't know you exist. Your work might be excellent. Your site just wasn't built for how AI reads it.
Build the foundation AI needs to find you, understand your service area, and position you to be recommended by name.
"You know how Google has to find your website before it can show it in search? AI works the same way. Except it picks one or two names, and most sites were never built for it."

What AI Actually Reads
The Signals It Checks Before It Recommends.
AI engines do not read your site the way a human visitor does. They look for specific structured signals to decide whether your business is a credible, authoritative answer to a user's question. Here is what those signals are.
1
Structured data (schema)
JSON-LD markup tells AI engines what you are, what you do, and where you do it. Without it, AI has to guess. With it correctly wired, your business name, service type, and location are unambiguous. LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ schema are the foundation. Most sites don't have them or have them wrong.
2
NAP consistency
Name, Address, Phone. AI platforms cross-reference your site against directory listings, your Google Business Profile, and other signals to verify you're a real, operating business. If those details don't match exactly everywhere, you get filtered out. This is more common than most businesses expect.
3
Service and location pages
AI answers questions like "who does plumbing in Murrieta?" If your site doesn't have a page that clearly describes your plumbing service and your Murrieta service area, AI can't surface you for that question. One generic "Services" page is not enough. Each service and each location needs its own structured content.
4
FAQ content
Conversational AI extracts answers from FAQ-structured content. Questions and answers written the way customers ask them, with your business and location named inline, give AI engines the citation material they need to recommend you. FAQPage schema makes this machine-readable, not just human-readable.
5
Google Business Profile
GBP is AI's fastest local trust signal. A complete, verified, regularly updated profile with accurate NAP, correct categories, and recent photos tells every major AI engine your business is active and real. It's also the signal that surfaces you in "near me" and map-adjacent AI answers. An incomplete GBP creates a gap that everything else builds on incorrectly.
6
Authority signals
AI platforms favor businesses they can verify as established and credible. Consistent citations across directories, inbound links from relevant sources, and content that demonstrates deep expertise in your service area all contribute to the entity authority that determines whether you're recommended first or not at all.
The Process
Foundations Take Real Work.
The honest version
For many clients, we get AI visibility scores from 40 to 80+ in 30 to 60 days. That means your business appears in AI answers for your top 3 to 5 service and location combinations. We cannot guarantee every answer. AI engines update constantly, and so do we. What we guarantee is the right foundation, built and maintained correctly.
01
Diagnose what AI actually sees
We run your site through major AI engines and map exactly where the gaps are: schema missing, local context thin, FAQ absent, content structure wrong. You see the diagnosis before we touch anything.
02
Wire the foundations
We build the service pages, local pages, and FAQ library. We structure the data, lock in NAP consistency, and wire the entity signals AI needs to understand what you do and where you do it.
03
Build or rebuild your site with AI in mind
If your site is not built right, we build it right. AEO-native from the ground up, or a retrofit if your foundation is strong enough to upgrade. We do not bolt things on later.
04
Stay on top of it
AI engines change every month. Our ongoing care plans keep your foundation current, your citations accurate, and your score from slipping as they do. This is not set-and-forget work.
Common Questions
What People Ask First.
How long does it take to see AI visibility results?
For many clients, scores move from 40 to 80+ in 30 to 60 days. Some signals are fast: a complete Google Business Profile and consistent directory listings can surface in AI results within days of re-indexing. Page-level changes typically take 4 to 8 weeks to reflect in AI answers. We track your visibility and show you what moved and why.
What does "wiring the foundations" actually mean?
It means building the structured data (JSON-LD) that tells AI who you are, what you do, and where you do it. It means making sure your business name, address, and phone number are identical everywhere AI checks. It means creating pages that answer the specific questions customers ask AI, in the format AI can extract and cite. These are not design changes. They are infrastructure changes.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If your current site has a strong structure, the AEO Retrofit ($2,500) adds the AI-specific layers to it. If the foundation is weak, a new build is faster and cleaner than trying to patch an old one. We start with the free scan or the $499 Audit so you know which applies before spending anything.
What happens if I stop ongoing care?
Your foundation stays. The structured data and pages we built do not disappear. But AI engines update their signal requirements, competitors build, and without active maintenance your score can erode over months. Most clients stay on ongoing care because the gap we close tends to stay closed when we maintain it.
Where should I start?
The free scan. It tells you where you stand in about 60 seconds. If your score is low, the $499 Audit shows you exactly why and what it costs to fix. Most clients apply the audit cost toward their build.
